* Purpose of the Scholarship Program 1. The scholarships are designed to stimulate international cooperation in the field of information technology-related research, support the exchange of brainpowers, and facilitate the globalization of universities. * Details of Scholarship Program 1. Number of Scholarships Awarded : approximately 130 to 180 new recipients 2. Applicable Fields 1) All disciplines related to IT science and engineering, including computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering 3. Types of Degree Program : Master''s, doctoral and MS - PhD integrated degrees 4. Period and Amount of Scholarships 1) For master''s degree: Up to two years with an award of 10 million won each year per student 2) For doctorate degree: Up to four years with an award of 14 million won each year per student ※ For an MS - PhD integrated program, an overall four-year scholarship is available for the student who immediately continues a doctoral degree program right after completing a master''s degree. An additional two-year scholarship may be considered within the limit of the budget. The stipend for the first two years will be 10 million won per year. ※ For the continuation of the stipend support, the selected students should maintain the academic record of B0 or above for each and every semester throughout the scholarship period 5. Qualifications for the Scholarship 1) Non-Korean citizens under the age of 35 with an excellent academic record ※ Individuals with an experience of residing in Korea more than 3 months during the period of previous 12 months from the deadlines and currently working or studying in Korea are not eligible except those who desire to move on to higher degree programs after being granted a bachelor''s or master''s degree or stayed on purpose of language training or exchange students. 2) Applicants, whose first language is not English, must submit a TOEFL score of 550(213 for CBT and 79 for iBT) or above, or minimum IELTS score of 6.0 (academic module) from a test taken within the last two years from the deadlines except those who submit 5th or 6th grade of th ''Testof proficiency in Korean'' score issued by Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation. 3) Applicants must have their academic advisors in Korean universities. 6. Remark 1) Korean universities should apply for the program to IITA(Institute for Information Technology Advancement) on behalf of their prospective international students with a list of the students in an order of preference. 2) All the class lectures must be provided in English except for the students with TOPIK (Test Of Proficiency In Korean) score 3) To apply for program Korean universities ought to offer tuition waiver, prioritized allocation of the housing and any other supportive programs to their international students * For more information, visit: http://www.korea4u.org/
